3. TURKISH TRANSLATION OF ‘LIFE IN LIMBO?’ NOW ONLINE

5. VIDEO FROM TURBULENCE APPEARANCE AT ‘CHTO DELAT?’ ICA EVENT
In September 2010, Turbulence participated in a 48 hour ‘communal life seminar’ at the Institute of Contemporary Arts (ICA) in London. The event was organised by Chto Delat? and culminated in a Brechtian ‘learning play’ [Lehrstueck] titled, ‘What Struggles Do We Have in Common?’ The seminar and play formed part of an ongoing series of events surrounding Chto Delat?’s ‘The Urgent Need to Struggle’ exhibition which is itself part of a season of events at the ICA taking place under the title of ‘Dissent’, addressing questions of art, activism, and social change.

6. ‘DEMOCRACY NOT INTEGRATION’ STATEMENT
Two Turbulence editors, Tadzio Mueller and Ben Trott, are initial signatories to the ‘Democracy Not Integration’ statement, issued by the Netzwerks Kritische Migrations- und Grenzregimeforschung and published on the front page of the German daily newspaper ‘die tageszeitung’ (or, ‘taz’) on 1 October 2010, shortly before the 20th anniversary of German reunification.

7. TURBULENCE TO BE LISTED IN ALTERNATIVE PRESS INDEX
We are pleased to announce that Turbulence articles and publications will now be listed in the excellent Alternative Press Index published biannually and containing the complete subscription information for the publications indexed and a selection of abstracts from 50 research journals.

8. TURBULENCE PANEL AT 2010 HISTORICAL MATERIALISM CONFERENCE IN LONDON
In cooperation with the Rosa Luxemburg Foundation, Turbulence will be hosting a panel at the 2010 Historical Materialism Conference in London (Thursday 11 – Sunday 14 November).
The PROVISIONAL time for the panel is Friday 12 November, 16.15-18.00. Please check for updated information closer to the time via our website.
The name of the panel is: ‘Beyond What Is and Isn’t To Be Done: The Question of Organisation Today’. Participants are: Frieder Otto Wolf, Ben Trott, and Peter Thomas. The panel will be chaired by Tadzio Mueller.
The Conference is to be held at the School of Oriental and African Studies, University of London (SOAS) and the University of London Union (ULU).
