1. ‘BIRIKIM’ PUBLISH TURKISH TRANSLATION OF ‘LIFE IN LIMBO?’

The Turkish journal, Birikim, have published a translation of the editorial article, ‘Life in Limbo?’ from Issue 5 of Turbulence.

3. SPANISH EDITION OF TURBULENCE AND THE COCHABAMBA CLIMATE SUMMIT (APRIL 2010)

Turbulence attended the April 2010 World People’s on Climate Change and the Rights of Mother Earth in Cochabamba, Bolivia, in April 2010. 8. TURBULENCE AT THE U.S. SOCIAL FORUM, DETROIT

We were at the United States Social Forum in Detroit from June 22-26, 2010. We participated in a series of events (info: http://turbulence.org.uk/2010/06/ussf-update/), handed out thousands of copies of Issue 5, and sold copies of our book. We would like to thank our publishers PM Press for their hard work and all of you who helped us hand out copies!

9. TURBULENCE EVENTS IN BERLIN (27 & 28 AUGUST AND 29 SEPTEMBER)

Turbulence editors will be participating in three events organised by the Heinrich Boell Foundation’s Educational Institute in Berlin in August and September.

10. TURBULENCE AT THE ATTAC SUISSE SUMMER SCHOOL (DELEMONT, 3-5 SEPTEMBER)

Turbulence editor, David Harvie, will be participating in the Attac Suise Summer School in Delemont, Switzerland (3-5 September). He will be leading a workshop on The Crisis of Antagonism and the Crisis of Organisation on Saturday 4 September 14.00-17.00. 11. TURBULENCE TO PARTICIPATE IN A 48 HOUR SEMINAR AT THE INSTITUTE OF CONTEMPORARY ARTS IN LONDON (9-10 SEPTEMBER)

Turbulence will be participating in a 48 hour ‘communal life seminar’ asking: ‘What Struggles Do We Have in Common?’ at the Institute of Contemporary Arts (ICA) in London. The event forms part of the ‘Dissent’ season of projects at the ICA on art’s relationship to activism and social change. The seminar is organised by the Russian group Chto delat? [trans. What is to be done?], “founded with the goal of merging political theory, art, and activism in early 2003 in Petersburg by a workgroup of artists, critics, philosophers, and writers from Petersburg, Moscow, and Nizhny Novgorod.” The seminar is one of a series of activities taking place around Chto delat?’s ‘The Urgent Need to Struggle’ exhibition (9 Sept – 24 Oct).
