1) TURBULENCE DISTRIBUTION HELP NEEDED AT COPENHAGEN CLIMATE SUMMIT DEMO
We’re hoping to get rid of thousands of copies of Issue 5 of Turbulence at this Saturday’s (12 December) demonstration at the Copenhagen Climate Summit Demo. If you can help us out, that would be great!
You can come and meet us at the corner of Bremerholm and Holmens Kanal, Copenhagen at 12.30pm on Saturday, half an hour before the demo begins. The meeting point is next to the National Bank where there’s a large sign reading ‘Financentre’ and a big, green statue of Niels Inel. We’ll be under the statue.
The demo starts not very far away at Christiansborg Slotsplads (Parliament Square), Copenhagen at 1pm.
You can find a map with both locations marked here.
If you can help out, please get in touch in advance at: editors@turbulence.org.uk
If you are already in Copenhagen and would like to grab a copy of the magazine, you can find out how here.
We’re looking for people to grab bundles to take back to their corner of the world with them, so again, get in touch if you can help us out with that.
2) TURBULENCE 5 EDITORIAL, ‘LIFE IN LIMBO?’, TRANSLATED INTO DANISH
Ahead of this week’s Climate Conference in Copenhagen (see above), Modkraft.dk have published a Danish translation of the editorial article from the latest issue of Turbulence, ‘Life in Limbo?’
The translation can be found here.
We would like to thank David Balleby Rønbach for the translation.
The English original can be found here.
3) TURBULENCE 5 EDITORIAL, ‘LIFE IN LIMBO?’, TRANSLATED INTO DUTCH
Only a couple of days after the publication of the Danish translation of ‘Life in Limbo?’ (see above), we received the Dutch translation by Globalinfo.nl
Our thanks once again!
The Dutch translation can be found here.
4) US PUBLICATION OF TURBULENCE 5, DISTRIBUTION HELP NEEDED
Last week, we printed 10,000 copies of Turbulence 5 in the United States. A large proportion of these are being stored at the Niebyl Proctor Marxist Library in Oakland.
Copies should also be available from PM Press very soon.
(Again, thanks to both for their help!)
We’re still looking for further distribution help across North America, however. Get in touch if you can help out.
5) TURBULENCE 5 AVAILABLE FROM AK PRESS AND ACTIVE DISTRIBUTION
Turbulence 5 can now be ordered from AK Press in the UK, as well as Active Distribution. If you buy anything from either of them, they will probably send you a copy of Turbulence too!
6) TRANSLATIONS
We’re trilled that a number of translations have already taken place, so soon after publication. But we’re hoping to get even more translated in the very near future. Most of the articles are published under a ‘Creative Commons Attribution Non-Commercial Share Alike’ licence. That means, so long as you cite Turbulence and the author as the source, don’t make a profit, and only reprint under the same conditions, you can reproduce most of the texts however you like.
If you can help with translation (or would like to republish an article in English), get in touch.
Current existing translations of Turbulence articles can be found here.
7) DONATIONS NEEDED
Turbulence is free, and we don’t carry any advertising. We’d like both to stay that way. But to do so, we need some help. If you can donate anything at all, even just a few pounds, Euros or dollars (of any currency!), please do.
We’ve got a PayPal button on our website here.
If you’d rather transfer the money directly into our account, email us for the details.
